Expression Blend

Installing Expression Blend

Installing Expression Blend is pretty simple.  Here is what you'll see when installing the software on Windows XP:

After putting in the CD, "BlendInstall.html" will launch in your browser. On this screen you'll need to select your Operating System (Windows XP or Vista).

After choosing your OS, the next screen displays the installation options.  The .NET Framework 3.0 needs to be installed before Blend is installed so if that needs to be installed, choose the appropriate version (32 bit or 64 bit).  Another option is to install the .NET Framework 3.0 Language Pack.  Once the .NET Framework 3.0 is installed, then option 3- "Install Expression Blend" can be chosen.

The next display allows customization of the setup.  "Typical" will install the software in the default destination: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Expression\".

Choosing Custom will bring up the below display.  There aren't any options to choose under the "Blend" install, which takes up about 42 MBs of space.  Clicking the Browse button will allow you to change the installation path.
